Why the switch from the 7175 to the 7675?

The old 7175 gave up with a broken air filter More horsepower is the reason for going the 7675 precition... Has anyone tried the ball bearing version vs journal bearing?

A 71/75 is capable of about 1150 rwhp if all the surrounding parts are right. I would stay with what you have and find out whats holding you back. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

1150whp with 7175? That cant be right we have a lot of m3 turboes here and thay all give 1000-1050 whp at 29 psi of boost...with 7675 And thay also have 30 psi in backpressure on the 96 ar turbo... I have seen 950whp on 7175 on 34 psi of boost..

+1

Maybe you're hitting the 1000-1050 rwhp S54 bottle neck plague that many tuners in the US are starting to see?

I've seen similar results with Sound Performance and HPF. Make amazing power up to 1000 rwhp then the turbo struggles to squeeze more air into the motor . Bdave, among others thought it might be the manifold but tubular manifolds have net similar results. Leaves me to believe more r&d is needed for the head or maybe need a larger cam?

I thougt it was well documented that the s54 head is flowing more then a 2jz could ever dream? Maybe Saad have some theory on this?
Has anyone investigated the design of the throttlebodies?

US horsepower are not the same with EU horsepower, ours are stronger

Yes i also think that, all engines have more horsepower in us i think.. Maybe they measure in another scale? I have dynoed a lot of americans V8 and all misses 50-100 hp... i find that strange? 1150whp on a 7175 cant be done on a s54,take Andreas he is running a huge 8285 and still havent reach 1150 whp so i realy wont to see prof of that...

I think it has been proven as well that the s54 head does flow more than the 2JZ. Guess that just leaves valve duration then. Maybe we've reached the limit that vanos can provide.

Its not the Head, cam or Vanos. Its the turbo system and ECU/tune. As far as US horsepower reading higher, forget that nonsense, use trap speed if you want to compare.

My turbo kit will make around 900-950 rwhp on a 67/66 and will trap about 150 mph. If you put a 71/75 on my kit the car should trap in the 160's.

The restrictions you are seeing are in the air intake, downpipe and header. After that the ECU/tune. Good luck.

Serious gearbox there, quite expensive too. Curious of your feedback on it and whether it would be streetable.
