Unhappy Not sure if clutch or what?

I have a 325Ci when im shifting from 2nd to 3rd revs go high but almost to 5 grand car barely moves its slower than ever now.

But I can pull away from a complete stop in 2nd or 3rd gear. I thought that was the test for a dying clutch.

Stealer said I needed a lower intake boot last summer because of a small crack. I haven't really driven the car since.

Can a crack in a lower intake boot cause such off acceleration?

I have no codes on my Peake reader.

Speed should correspond to engine rpm. A vacuum leak won't change that. If the engine was making no power, it would just accelerate slow at a normal RPM. Clutch slip will give you the unusally high rpm.

A clutch is a maintenance item. Don't be disappointed that you need a new one. >100k miles, it's not really a surprise.

Does anyone know how much I should be looking at to have the clutch replaced on a 2001 325CI?
Dealer or Indy?

Same issue with mine

Instead of starting a new thread, i'll say I'm having the same issue. Also high RPM gear 2nd > 3rd will do that same thing for me but it more noticable from 1st > 2nd.

I have a 2002 33Ci with 95K. You think I just need a clutch? Sachs okay? Should I order any tools for DIY? I've seen an alignment took on ECS Tuning for this. Doubt it's critical though.
