Trust me, what actually gets disclosed to the media is generally meaningless, and, if its an official press release or statement, is a very calculated statement.

You realize NK has radar and other means to detect US/SK military activities right? Maybe not so much stealth aircraft, but other conventional platforms. They even receive military assistance from, oh lets say China (who's likely playing a double game). As much as we make fun of them, their military is not all that backwards - though they certainly are not up to par with us, but it would be foolish to underestimate them

If there was ever a time to use a few drones, now would be the time.

I was thinking of a different jet. Was under the impression, that they were undetectable.

China most certainly wants war on the Korean Peninsula even less than we do.

It's their backyard, and they'd have to deal with tons of refugees spilling over the border.

I agree with you, but they still give military assistance to NK. Secondly, what you said could be why China concurred with the security council sanction against NK when they recently had a nuclear test. China also doesn't want NK doing nuclear tests in their backyard.

F-117 Stealth fighter was supposedly undetectable too but was shot down in 1999 over Serbia. Modifications were made to anti-air systems and radar and they were able to shoot it down.

Yup.

The number one thing china wants in the Koreas is stability. A nuclear North Korea does not give them that.

My money says that if this does go to the point of war, china will not get involved, because they don't want to be at war with the US, and keeping North Korea around does them little to no good. They may even actively work against North Korea in order to gain a chunk of it to keep as a buffer between mainland china and South Korea.

China wants stability in the region, whether that includes North Korea or not.

Their air force is a joke (30 modern fighters +a few hundred obsolete ones) and while they would be able to detect our legacy fighters, their SAM systems are no better than Iraq's were, so we would be dropping JDAMs all day on them. Problem is, they just have a TON of troops...1 mil active and 8.2 mil reserve. We'd run out of conventional bombs before they ran out of bodies, IF they ALLkept fighting. The big problem is their artillery would level Seoul and there would be tens of thousands of civilian casualties in the first hours. So dangerous, yes. Unbeatable, no.

I say we level the entire country. No ground troops, no mercy.

Give it to SK and leave.

The problem that we always have is that we are too damn nice in war. We lose lives trying to save others.

They are going to attack SK regardless.

Bomb, bomb, bomb, then bomb.

You clearly have no idea how the American military works and you sure as hell have no knowledge of American history relating to wars and police actions we have been involved with. We are the most humane people on the planet during war.

I am not arguing whether or not we should have been in each war. I stating the fact that when we are in war, we are more humane than our enemy. If you are trying to argue that fact, you are a fvcking idiot.

Cut your losses while you can.

Do not insult me again.

What does fighting multiple wars have to do with how humane we are during war? It doesn't. We are the most powerful military force in the world and one of the richest countries in the free world. It is our responsibility to go to war and help those peoples that can not protect themselves.

Being the most powerful military in the world, we could level ANY country in a week. The fact that we never do, even though war has been declared, shows that we are compassionate to others including our enemies.

You are just some ignorant child who may have taken a few college classes and wants to act smarter than they are. You might want to take a few classes regarding the Korean War and the Vietnam conflict. Maybe you will become a little more knowledgeable about how America handles itself in wartime.

Clearly, you are not American, so why live here if we are so terrible?
