Life cycle impulse. For the E46 it was called the face lift. LCI seems to be a term that took hold on the E90.

Ahh interesting... People need to stop changing these names... "Facelift" is a perfectly fine term. Even though it is not as literal as the e46 facelift.

Anyways the tails seem similar to the 5er... I think the 4 needs different tails to distinguish it from the rest... Maybe some e46 tails .

Anyways I haven't said something stupid in a while so here it is:
always use the purple butter to clean the DISA valve on your moo cow for optimum moo-iness

No bet. There is 100% going to be an M2 in that time frame.

They're not working on it, it is already done. I heard it is an amazing looking car from those inside BMW that have seen it. So far this is the most revealing shots we've seen of it -

BMW 2 series coupe

Agreed. Although I'm sure it has a purpose, it reminds me of those faux fender vents you can buy off eBay or autozone and slap them on the side of your car. Maybe its because chrome.

and the front looks funky... the fog area, as someone mentioned earlier. The IS's have a better looking front than that. Come on BMW!

Those things being said, I would still consider buying one. Used.

I cant get passedthe "4 series" name...

Car is a bit o'dee to me. I still prefer an e46 or e9x. Hopefully it grows onto me.

Same. Definitely disagree on them with the 4 series badging. But the car is BEAUTIFUL in my opinion. Saw one in person the other day.

My Ride: slower than yours
looks like an A5, i smell an infiltrator inside the design department for bmw, along with the "new" 4 series tag name.

and not sure which company did it first but both have those square angel eyes now... they're gonna merge by 2020zzzz

Back with the E28 5-Series, BMW did actually make an M5 convertible. Rumors have been being spread that rather than it just being a BMW showroon car, they might actually release them into public hands, like you're saying. I agree, BMW needs to stop making so many different versions of all of their cars, it's getting to be excessive. It needs to go back to just:

1-Series (Standard, Premium, M)(Coupe/Convertible)
3-Series (Standard, Premium, M)(Coupe/Convertible/Sedan)
5-Series (Standard, Premium, M)(Sedan)
6-Series (Standard, Premium, M)(Coupe)
7-Series (Standard, Premium, 6.0 V12)(Sedan)
X-Series X5: (Standard, Premium, M)(SUV)
X3: (Standard, Premium, MSport)(Crossover)

I'm disagreeing with the way BMW is going, and I hope they fix it before they destroy their market.

Supposed to be going back to their roots with a inline-6. They say it should be twin turbocharged, and have around 444HP. Making it just that much quicker/faster than the M3 V8.

The most exciting thing about the F80 M3 and F82 M4 is going to be the weight. Weight savings is a major focus for the development. That and the active diff from the F10 M5 and F12/F13 M6. When you mash the throttle the ECU tells the diff to lock up before the power gets there giving you maximum traction. As just one example of the way the system works. It is really cool stuff.

Is that confirmed? I heard rumors of two regular turbos and an electronic turbo
