Drifting gone wrong!!!!

Hi people i have found myself in a bad situation!!!!

I was drifting along enjoying my bmw and after i left the roundabout in manual mode i slipped it back into auto then i had a loss of power so i pulled over asap!!! And the engine died now my car wont start, it is turning over but not firing up and the dde light is on but no other lights are on, i can hear a whining noise from the passanger footwell and due to the engine not firing up i think it is the fuel relay pump ????? Can anyone tell me if they have had a similler issue please.

I just hope its not the injectors!!!

Yes i know it needs pluging in for diagnostics and it is booked in next week i just wanted a heads up on costs or wether to have a crack at sorting it myself because my garage is going on holiday until the 2nd of april and dont wanna spend 2 weeks without it.

Ps its a e46 330d touring.

My Ride: E46 320d SE Touring
Hi, I had a 320d Touring which was fun and I had a similar problem with starting.

When I used easystart, the car started and drove fine.

I had it repaired once, it was low pressure on the common rail which was attributed to 3 injectors and a pressure sensor.

After paying 800 (second hand parts) I come to think how all 4 went at once.

So when it happened again a year later, I was inclined to think it was just the common rail pressure sensor, that's the cheapest part to replace.

Unfortunately, whilst I was making my mind up on what to change, my power steering exploded and an engine mount went, so I binned off the car as spares or repair on ebay.

My INPA told me it was low pressure on the common rail until it was running, then everything was fine.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

Marty
