It seems the world of e46 diffs is big. Most diffs I am seeing for sale are for auto trans cars or 325s.
Can anyone give me the lowdown on what will fit my car, & what ratios are in the compatible diffs? Or pls point me to a page with ratio & fitment info?

TIA! Murf

ratios:

I found a table of BMW gear ratios. I have a 2.93 rear end, the longest gears of any e46.

http://www.bokchoys.com/differential/GearRatios.htm

I also saw that US e46s used only the long diff case. Does that mean I can use a diff from any e46 if I like the ratio?
