2000 E46 Runs poor past idle

Thanks in advance for any help you can shed on this issue. Embarrased to say how many hours i've been trouble shooting this, it all started with a CCV valve replacement. The job went well except when i exchanged the Purge Valve and Oil Pressure connectors, blew the 30A fuse in eng compartment (thanks to this forum i found that), fixed that, then the car started right up, idled like a swiss watch, it thought i was done. later in the day went for a test ride, as SOON as i touch the throttle, all hell breaks loose; popping, weak RPM, really runs bad. I pin and voltage checked all connections around the area i was working, no problems. I swapped parts from a good working E46 including, MAF, DISA, ICV, and Throttle body, still same issue. All vacuum hoses are new, including both intake boots. Hope this makes sense to someone, been fishing a lot around the net looking for something like this, but so far have found no answer. oh yeah, EML and check eng light come on, it's throwing MAF circut code P0101.

found this http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...asc-t-light-on

but the car was running OK before the CCV change, just had a vac leak fault. going to check for sticky TV, and it seems to run better with new CPS (i swapped them from the good car) so i'm going to get new ones.

Replaced both CPS's, found vacuum line disconnected at back of intake, probably got knocked off when took out dipstick, but still runs like crap, still posting P0101 code.

You can take a look at this document for Info on your EML light.
http://www.beisansystems.com/misc/SE...ROL_SYSTEM.pdf

You might make sure the electrical connector on the throttle body was properly connected. I believe you have to turn the connector and lock it in the open position then insert it into the throttle body.
It will release the lock and allow you to turn the connector.

Thanks, the connector is definately on right, align the arrows, goes right in, turn and click. the pins look good on both the throttle and the cable, and the pin check checked out ok. The throttle cable itself may be a problem, it is broken above the adjuster nut, tried to componsate to get the 3mm play, but still runs bad. are there any "hidden" codes to clear?

I see from the doc above that the EML light goes on when it detects a fault with the MDK, but i've swapped MDK's, pin checked the connector, just can't find anything wrong, but there must be...

Ended up being a bad DME, fortuneatly i opened the DME up before sending it out for repair, found a cooked capacitor and trace. Had a friend jump the trace and put in two new capacitors, works like a champ

Also BTW, didn't have to clear any codes to fix, just the blown capacitor, after fix, put in DME, ran great. and i did go to dealer before the fix, waited three hours, paid $150, when they said i was good to go, went to car, started it, NOTHING CHANGED
