What first, square or sway bars?

e46 m3 with staggered wheels currently with oem sway bars.

255 x 275 in the rear. Planning to go 275 square 18x10 et 25

Should i get the sway bars or go square set up first? Pricing is about the same.

How is the price of $200-$300 sway bars the same as a new square wheel setup? Anyway, you'll probably notice swaybars more. Just do that until you need to replace your tires, then get new wheels.

I too am unclear on the pricing of the two, but that doesn't matter.

Both are good choices / good upgrades, I see them as relatively equal. So flip a coin, do the one you think will please you the most first. Eventually, you'll have both installed on your Bimmer in due time.

ground control front & rear sway bars about 699, i just need 2x 18x10 apex wheels my rear are already 18x10. so two 18x10 wheels will cost around 600 bucks.

Thats what i was thinking as well, thanks! However, i might only have 1 more trackday on my current tires. Since they are staggered. I will run them backwards since the track i go to is harder on the left.

Tires first no question. But if you don't have camber, no point in running 275's up front. Sways should be the LAST thing you do when you need to fine tune the ride after choosing your spring/shock combo.

but you didn't identify what issue you're trying to address. What's wrong with the handling now that has you leaning towards sways (pun intended)?

Yes , What is the car doing ?? over/ understeering ? Do you have consistane lap times to compare ? Your driving style will also come into factor . Some drive better with softer sways , some firmer .

I'm thinking understeering...are you running adjustable suspension components? maybe fiddle with the coilovers to see if you can dial in the desired handling characteristics
