Arrow How much is this going to cost to repair?

Ballpark it or go as detailed as you like if you're some sort of car wizard.
Engine runs fine, just the front parts are a bit smooshed (sp?) together.

Image is large, so just click here to see it so it doesn't stretch the forums so much.

For the record, I was held 0% liable.

No airbags, driver in front of me stopped. I stopped. Guy behind me didn't, slammed into me which pushed me into the vehicle in front of me. My rear is mostly fine, sturdy bumper. But it pushed the nose of the car down so the bumper in the front did not get most of the impact. -.- Just curious because I don't know much about collision repair and I want to know whether the amount my repair guy is asking for is reasonable. It seems to me collision repair people have it made. If insurance covers the payments, they can really jack the prices up as much as they want, as most people don't know enough about cars to question them. I can look into car part prices maybe but I'm not sure what it takes to install many of them. The only thing that I can think of that will keep prices relatively fair is that insurance companies will recommend specific repair places, and will tend to choose the ones with fairer prices / less of a hit to their wallets).

I did something similar and it cost the insurance company $6K to fix. That was with only one headlight to replace, the hood, bumper, a support had to be straightened near the radiator, painting, and putting back the clear bra. Kinda shocked me how much it cost to fix...what I thought was a minor fender bender.

I'd say 6-9 depending on if genuine or aftermarket parts are used and if your core support got bent. If it can be pulled and straightened more towards the six. Replacing it will shoot the price up as BMW gives you 4 hours just to remove a fender so I can only imagine the hours on a core support. Being an m3 though I wouldn't say they would total it considering its worth a bit more than 9k.
