Throwing codes, but no CEL?

My car has recently been acting a bit weird and stalling when coming to a stop when it shift from 3rd to 2nd (Only these gears are where this is happening) I have no CEL but just for the hell of it I decided to hook up my Peake scanner tool to it and its giving me a code. 16-48-68. Just my luck I lost my booklet and im online now to try and decipher this code.

Any reason why I would be having codes without a CEL?

Thanks

if you read tip 3 on your peake tool manual you will see there is no table 16, it is a 1b, which is a bit tricky. going to table 1b, code 48 is intake camshaft Vanos retard valve and 68 is, well there is no 68 but again, if you make the 6 into a b, then b8 would be intake camshaft Vanos position control. Hope this helps. oh, i just reread your post and saw you lost your manual. sorry. again, hope this gets you going in right direction. good luck

This is greatly appreciated! I was trying my best to understand what it was and finally seen that the 6's are b's. Thanks again for looking into this for me. It has definitely helped.

Now this is probably the reason for my car stalling from time to time.

Life saver again, thanks. This would definitely save me some money. Has anyone else on here dealt with this replacement from Beisan? Good? Reputable?

Thanks
