No cruise, manual A/C controls... I'd say this was legit. However I don't think it would be worth more than a 325i as it's pretty damn basic plus it's an Auto.

Probably just a canadian model that made it across the boarder. Canadian cars are essentially US-spec, so there isn't anything special that you wouldn't have been able to get on a US 325 or 330.

I think since its more rare than should be allittle more expensive or could be a Canadian 320i that has been imported

Usually rare cars are cool if there's something special to them. Like the E36 M3 LTW and E46 M3 CSL. But if they're rare because they're unpopular (for example a gray-green 320iA with a tan interior and no options whatsoever), then that isn't deserving of any extra attention. Even if it is actually from Germany.. I'd much prefer a US 325 or 330.

Wouldn't a Canadian spec car have all of its gauges in metric?

well I do know that after a certain year they began building BMW's in the US but prior to that they all came from Germany. I know the change happened during the e46 era because eventually everything was built here except for the M cars.

run the VIN, seems odd to me.

certainly not worth any more than a comparable 325i.
