Sooo...... Where is my antenna??!

So..
2002 330CI..
Just recently upgraded my system....
Eclipse AVN726E, 2 JL amps.... couple of Memphis 10's...
Love everything..
The only complaint I have is the reception on the antenna for FM kinda sucks..
I know if has one... I had to buy the adapter to hook up the antenna to the new radio.... I just dont get the quality reception I would like..
so I was going to look at it..

I dont have a fin.
I dont have a steel antenna anywhere...

Is it built into the rear window or something?
I have the black box on the front windshield, but I thought that was the rain sensor....

Yes, it's built-in to the rear glass. Check the module behind the driver's side C-pillar for any loose connections.

depending on the year you car may have two connectors for the antenna booster. been a while but it may also have a trigger wire too.

Turning on the rear defroster completely wipes out my AM reception and FM gets slightly worse.

The antenna on non-convertibles is on the rear windshield glass. They look like defroster lines. There is a small amplifier mounted on the rear left C-pillar which may be having issues. It must be getting power otherwise you would not be able to receive anything.
