With the soft top, wind noise is not bad at all. For example, when I am driving with the top up, I never say to my self "man, this car is noisy". If you do buy the car, for the warm months when the top is down, I can say the windscreen makes all the difference, reduces noise, wind, and if a lady friend is in the car, it prevents there hair from blowing everywhere. Good luck

Wind noise in minimal on these cars. The car is very tight in the winter. I've driven several e46 verts of various model years they have all been quiet & fog up in the winter if the AC isn't on.

My Ride: 2004 330Ci Conv.
2004 330Ci Vert bought it with 63k miles 11-2011 and have loved it ever since. Should have done a better PPI when purchased but I am very handy with mechanics and have now brought her up to the excellent condition I strive to keep my vehicles in.

Friends that have ridden in my Vert with the top up have commented on how quiet the ride is and we're surprised they were in a convertible. Top down driving definitely needs the windscreen. That is going to be my next purchase.

Coolant expansion tank leaked at 82k miles and I replaced the entire cooling system with no problems since. Once you go Vert it's tough to go back!

That's one thing that surprises me... How well BMW has minimized the wind noise in their cars, especially verts. I've driven Z4s, 330cic, and 330ci/325ci and no problem with noise. One of the must haves for me.

Thanks so much everyone for your inputs. Anybody knows a good BMW shops/mechanics in the triad area (Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point NC)? Thanks again.
