Bay Area potential new owner

Hello Everyone,

I live in the bay area (Nor Cal) and I am looking at an 05 M3 in the area and test drove a 6 speed that I liked but have some hesitation.

The car has coil overs and wide tires especially in the back. The owner mentioned that it may rub with people in the back seats. Is there a trusted suspension shop that I can get the car setup evaluated at near Fremont or Hayward? I also wonder about the lights on the tachometer, specifically the lights above the redline digits, are they supposed to be illuminated all the time?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, sounds like the car you're looking at is modified. It is a good idea to have a reputable shop inspect it. There are regional forums, you will get more responses posting there, or in the M3 sub-forum.

Thanks for thinking of me, but I think I finally have my car now. This one is an 04 as well. She has does have more miles, and more importantly the 6s MT.
I will post pics when I finally bring her home. Now I just need to think of a name for her and create space in the garage.

Got her finally

I just got the keys and then we went off on vacation for a week. My brother, he helped me test it out, got to put more miles on it than I did.

I tried to focus on having fun while away, but my mind frequently drifted to my new M3 waiting patiently for me at home.

Hope to see some of you Bay Area drivers at events soon.
