Test drove a 335 didnt feel it

so my car had coolant leak and couldnt figure out where it came from took to the dealer while they were trying to figure it out one of the salesman really wanted me to drive a 335 (trusting a 19 year old with 335 lol) after saying no he tried and tried convincing me in to driving it. Car had 88K miles and i just dont get what the fuss is all about the 335 it sure didnt feel that fast nor was it better at corners(not i pushed it any hard) and after getting back in to the e46 felt right at home
I Dont really know why but the 335 didnt grow on me at all for some reason could be because it was used but at 88k it shouldnt be stressed hell my car 135k miles and feels great(sorta)
have you guys felt the same way ?

The was that when he said what's your preference on a e90 I said rear wheel drive and that was litterarley the only rwd car on their lot rest of them were 328xi or 335x-drive
But the car did feel a little stressed out
LoL not like I can afford it so ill stick my tractor 325

Prepare to be slaughtered for liking your E46... fanboy, poor,

Even when new the 335i has got its issues. It's not as nimble and the rear end bounces under hard acceleration and cornering. It's slightly too big to disappear under the driver with the longish hood.

The motor is nice when new. If it had been a 15k oil change car, it could have severe carbon deposits, valve ledge issues, turbo problems, even a fuel pump problem. The point is- the car was not on its game so your view is a bit distorted, however- there are plenty of not-so-nice things about about the E90/92.

There not all that special until you tune them and throw on some headers, then you can be in the 350-400HP range, and those are nice numbers. Nothing drives like a proper e46!

335 w/ JB4 All that torque... From 0-60 it's a hell of a lot more fun than an E92 M3

Uh, sport package or no sport package?

Also, are you coming from an M3? People that go from the 335i -> E9X M3 can always tell how soft the rear feels on the 335i

I saw an N54 335i taking off from a stop yesterday and there was blue smoke pouring from it's passenger side exhaust pipe.

Someone didn't do the butterfly valve mod.

On the exhaust? The average 335 driver doesn't even know the car is forced induction. Anyway, I actually removed that mod from my car. My vacuum tube was too dry to pull off the solenoid or whatever it is back there so I had to use this pinching device recommended by a VW R32 driver Didn't really work well and caused the exhaust valve to rattle so I removed it.
