I used to smoke in mine all of the time. I only binge smoke on the weekends currently, and haven't smoke in my car in a long time.
I haven't vacuumed my car in over a year, you can see ash down on the floor under my seats, but my car doesn't smell like cigarettes at all.
I do have some burn marks, from friends mostly. I always smoked with the windows and sunroof cracked or open.
Some people I have known in the past smoked with the windows up and left cigarette butts in their ashtray, that is when you get problems with it smelling.

Maybe that's why you want to get rid of it.

I do, all the time. I just cleaned my car two days ago after going all winter with no vacuuming. The cig smoke doesn't linger too badly. Once i get it all cleaned out its not bad and i use those leather air fresheners. I do have some burn marks though from my friends near the sunroof and passenger window. But idgaf, its a 2001 and i have 235000 km on it.

Funny that smokers are the ones telling us that the smoke smell goes away, as though they know how bad it smells. Any non-smoker will take one whiff and be able to tell immediately.

I couldn't care less if you smoke, but to state that your car doesn't smell of smoke after smoking in it is simply untrue. Having your non-smoker friends tell you that it doesn't smell like a rolling ashtray isn't a compliment, they are just observing that it isn't the worst they have smelled. Smokers have a smoke odor whether they choose to believe it or not, period.

I spend a lot of time in my car because of work and I smoke, so yes, I also smoke in my car. It's my car and my space to relax.

Yes, and I open every window and crack the sunroof, never use the ashtray. Have vacuum at least once a week. Which is no big deal because I clean my car every Friday anyway.

I usually try to take a break from smoking in it once in a while so the stank doesn't build up.

PSA: Vacuuming doesn't remove smoke odor. I'm not sure what kind of magic fairy dust is in your vacuums, but it doesn't remove smoke.

I've been trying to stop smoking!

But yes, having a Marlboro Menthol while cruising in the M is quite the treat sometimes.
