Wash your hands. Stop touching your face. Germs are transferred to you face when you don't wash your hand. And then you turn around and pick your face.

Before washing my face, I was my hands with an anti-bacterial soap. Then I lather my hands with a facial soap. No wash cloth to my face because the face is more sensitive than the body. After I lather my hands with a facial soap, I apply to the face using a circular motion. Rinse my face with warm water and let air dry. Next I use an astringent to clean out the pores. Followed by a facial lotion with sunblock.

You can use this.

Once a month I follow up with a facial scrub. Either a charcoal mask or facial scrub. This is sorta like applying a clay bar to your face. I wish more guys pay attention their face. It's the first thing girls notice. If you have a oily skin or zits oozing out UGH!! #walkaway

Yup, right at the back of my jaw where my headsets make contact.. Real deep cystic ones too. But if I don't fly for a couple weeks it clears up.

I still get them from time to time but I've noticed mostly from sleeping over people's places with dirty pillows.

That started to sound like the American Psycho scene where he describes his morning routine.
You make a good point though. In high school the biggest improvement I made was I stopped using a washcloth on my face. I thought you're supposed to scrub hard to clean it better, but by switching to using my hands only it almost instantly improved.

Mid 30's and yes, When I was in my teens and twenties, I get them a lot until I discovered moisturizer. Colorado gets really dry and I was getting them due to irritation from dry air and the 10% benzoyl peroxide. Once I started using moisturizer they all disappeared. I still get one now and then around my chin and neck. When I feel like they are about to come, I used neutrogena on the spot. It's 2.5% benzoyl peroxide works better than the 10% imo.

Have you tried rubbing an alcohol pad before use to clean them? It should like disinfect them.

Inuse a mint julop mask every few weeks usual l y after I shave when the pores are nice & open. Feels great.

I get a professional barber shop save once or twice a month & I find that helps my skin as well. They really get in there & get all the dead skin off
