Macro is shooting things at an extremely close range (usually reserved for small things like bugs and flowers, etc.) Tilt shift (the effect) is blurring two opposing areas of a photo to give the center a feel of miniaturization. Fun to play around with, but I would NEVER use it for a wedding.

This is the downside of SLR cameras being so cheap these days....everyone is a professional photographer. If you want to separate the fake pros from the real (so you only have to sift through the actual pros) ask for proof of commercial insurance. Most "photographers" don't have any form of insurance.

A tilt shift lens....

It's primary function is to correct distorted lines...(look at the tower...the image on the left the tower has a conical appearance, while the image on the right it is straight.)

Fun use with a tilt shift lens.....making things appear miniature.

Actually you should let the pictures speak for themselves. Photography as a business and photography as an art are two completely different things.

Unless you're one of the lucky few who can live off selling art.

I'd call it washed out with a weird depth of field.

The photo looks good quality wise, but the composition is terrible. Why is she holding her belly? Is she pregnant? Why is her other arm scratching her hair? Why is it in such an unnatural pose? Gotta look past the glitz and look at the details. Just my .02

Yes, I actually think it's very good. I'm into photography, and dig that style. One of the great things is that photography is subjective, and rules (composition, framing) can be broken. So yep, I like it and her work. Here's mine. I tend to break rules a lot, and sometimes not so much. But it's all subjective.

I mean to me it works, but tbh I don't shoot models really.. I just kind of take pics of random things (cars, landscapes, sometimes occasional portrait) but not everyone is going to like that style.

Now those look great to me. Well composed, well exposed, and enough interesting detail to draw my attention. Great shots.
