Fake Diplomas & Transcripts

There are several sites that offer to create "Official Looking" College Degrees and of course I needed to come here with it. Has anyone ACTUALLY tried this and was able to get away with it? Personally, I don't need to take advantage of this because I already got legit diploma but this was brought up to my attention the other day and was curious if any other fellow members tried it out or know somebody else that has.

I am just curious if people tried this with their employer and were able to get away with it and have a pretty successful profession from it.

Just another thing wrong with our society today. I doubt there are many individuals who have done something like this and were able to keep a difficult/high paying job.

I wouldn't recommend it. If it's on your resume we verify it. If you lie about anything then we rescind the offer.

Employers typically ask for transcripts not the diploma itself. I couldn't imagine this is much of an issue in America.

Someone's been watching too much TV.

No, it doesn't work. And don't even try the "my friend wants to know..." card.

Even when I worked at big companies like Cox or Fannie Mae they never asked for transcripts of applicants. They did verify prior income though strangely enough

Yep. We don't do transcripts but for all sales positions, we request W2s for verification. Anyone can "claim" they are a good salesperson. Not everyone can produce a W2 indicating they made a ton of cash (indicator they sold a lot)

I heard that Georgetown was borderline on re-accreditation this year, and would probably lose it next year.

Yeah... every college review (princeton review, usa today, etc) has no idea what they're talking about when it comes to stuff like that.

Gtown.. what a crummy school.

Rumor has it the NCAA might downgrade their basketball team to Division II after their pathetic performance in the tournament this year.

Yep... cause being a top 10 team in the NCAA is just soooooooo shameful.

FWIW, who goes to a school for their basketball team?

Yes...please explain. Not from Georgetown but last I heard it was a great school. Of course that's mainly reputation wise...

SRS: nothing. It's still an excellent school by all accounts.
