Exclamation Got into a car accident. Is this worth fixing?

Like the title says. Most of you know about me driving into my house. But anyway, I need to know some opinions. I'm expecting atleast a 1.2K repair bill. That's if I use some aftermarket parts, like bumper, fog lights, hood maybe, radiator, intake, etc. But yeah. Only the driver's airbag blew, so I'm guessing seat belt tensioner went with that as well. Positive battery terminal also blew. Thanks guys. Here's some pictures.

So far, what I know I need is:
Airbag
Positive Battery terminal
Bumper
Hood
Headlights
Foglights
Radiator
Maybe Cooling system should be done as well.
Intake
PS Reservoir
Windshield
Radiator Fan
This one L shaped pipe, it's in picture 4, down and right from the oil fill cap.
Please let me know if there's anything you think I need to add to this list.

I had way less than half that damage in the same area and it was 12k+ to repair properly.

$1200?! ha! try $1200 for just the hood dude. the mounting points for it are probably toast.
i'm assuming you'd want it fixed correctly?
that car is totaled without a doubt. looks like you have shock tower damage on the drivers side.
no way it's worth fixing. no way.

also looks like you may have frame damage. note the passengers side fenders and how it sits relative to the a pillar and door.
consider your car a crispy burnt piece of toast.

Sorry about your loss. She's a goner. If you part it out, what color is your interior?

There is no question that the cost to repair will exceed the market value of the car. Not sure where you came up with $1,000 to fix--but that is impossible with all that damage. To repaint the front end will cost you $1,000 or more.

The hood won't be $1200, but your bill may be well over $6000. The xenons alone are billed at around $900/ea by most insurance companies.

I'm actually looking into aftermarkets, maybe ebay, this car is like a spare. As for the fender, I unbolted it after the crash, just to check some stuff. Not really sure what, but having a wrecked car is a great excuse to pull it apart. I'm not going to use brand new parts, and probably won't respray the whole car. I know a guy who's really good. He painted the bumper of my Dad's 4Runner in the pictures after a minor bump up in NY.

Black and gray. Like the pillars, headliner, and sunroof cover are gray.

I'm most likely going to get used parts, or aftermarket, and a local junkyard has an e46, so I'll most likely pick parts off of it. I'm not sure of what you mean by "fixed correctly" I mean, if the repair bill foots more than 3K, I'll most likely part it out, and then sell whatever's left to a Junkyard. I already found a few other cars, E46s, all nice, well maintained, etc. Most are 330is or convertibles. Yeah, there IS shock tower damage, but it doesn't reach the actual shock itself.

Thanks for the help guys

Take the fenders off. Are the fender supports fvcked? Also take the bumper support bar off and look at the huge rails that run behind it. Are they bent and crumpled? Those are some of the biggest, not bolt on/bolt off things on your car that could add up very quickly and would need to be remedied by a shop.

If they are all good to go, you might get it fixed for $2k if you can find a good front end from a white three series so that you don't need paint.

Fender supports seem fine, I haven't had a chance to check the bumper just yet though. I'll get to it asap. I think it is though, but slightly. On the passenger side. there is some bent metal on the front corner light area, near the passenger side.

I think it's worth fixing this only if there is no frame damage, which is unlikely.
Then, it will make sense financially only is if you manage to buy a rear ended white pre-facelift E46 sedan that has the same type of airbags, suspension, etc. as yours for $1,000 or thereabout, which you can use as a donor.

This is not a small project though, it will require time, equipment, and some experience.
