Anyone know about cloning HID Proximity RFID cards?

Anyone know about cloning HID Proximity RFID cards?

I'm trying to see if anyone can help me in regards to what I need in order to clone a HID Proximity card that opens the car park door in my building.

I "think" it's a 1386 ISOProx II Card.

After something within a reasonable budget to clone the card ~$100.

TIA!

Start here. You are going to need to know the facility code though.

Honestly, don't even try. your best bet is going to be just go to the managment company and get another card. No way are you going to be able to duplicate the card. First you would need the facility code which your not going to get unless you happen to find the box the card came in and look at the sticker. Second you need to know the card number which is usually printed on the card however the external numbers don't always match the internal numbers (you need the internal number, there are ways to read it but that in itself would be way over your budget). This is assuming they are using a standard card format, if its proprietary its another ballgame. Then even if you do find all of the correct numbers, (internal, facility code, and card format) in order to get the card you have to contact a security company who can either program a blank card to your specs or you have to buy a programmer yourself, which is way more than 100bucks. And lastly the minimum order qty for hid cards is either 50 or 100. And at 5bucks a pop that adds up. So once again you have to find an authorized company who happens to have an extra blank card laying around.. Basically what I'm saying is that more than likely its just not worth it..

Thanks for all the replies!

Question:
I have another HID Prox card with the correct Fac code. Are these cards re-writeable?
(I have 2 cards for the building only 1 of them opens the parking gate)

I know this is an old post but if anyone is in the same boat I'd let the professionals do it... You can't be sure which type of tag you have it or if this device even works. Check out these guys at www.clonemykey.com._nr_
