The z looks amazing as does the 2002

The 2002 would be my choice though if you could haggle a bit.

Ended up getting this. Not a Tii, needs cosmetic work. It's a fun car.

I drove it about an hour on the 405. The brakes squeal so I will probably end up rebuilding them myself. There was some smoke coming from the engine bay when I got home but its coming from a leaky VCG. I'm going to do all the lubricants and rebuild the brakes. I"ll take it to a shop to go over the engine, do the VCG and tune the carb. I was doing about 3500rpms at 70mph. It really needs an extra gear, I may end up doing the 5 speed swap. I wouldn't touch if it was a tii.

Don't think I'm going to sell the e46 just either.

What year is it? It looks nice! I like that it has the older/Euro bumpers swapped in.

Roundie, yes. it's a 72 so I believe those are the original bumpers, the 73 had the same bumpers but mounted out farther past the peak of the body. The 74 has the diving board bumpers and square tail lights.

I want to pull off that rear bumper and tailight bezels and have them rechromed. I can get it done pretty cheap in mexico. I'll either polish off the black paint on the grill or send it off and source new kidneys as well.

Oh, okay. I thought it was a squaretail because it had the black front grilles but I see now that they just don't have the chrome on them. Or maybe it's just the light in the picture.

I have a squaretail (1975) and I swapped in the earlier bumpers. The diving boards just ruined the look for me, even with them tucked.

E30 all day lol

Wish I had the funds for an older car to tinker with but I don't like surprises on a DD.

I want to eventually pick up a E30 m3 for a weekend car.

Maybe next year or so...

I love BMW so older, my vote goes e30.

They were painted black because the shine on them was blotchy and faded. I'll have the paint stripped and polished, maybe dipped.

I hear E30 a lot. Not that I don't like them, they are very nice when done right. But I do see a lot of E30s (not tuned) and I just wanted something older and unique.

I don't see a lot of e30s where I live. I guess they are more common elsewhere.

Whatever you decide to pick up, good luck.

I'm in SoCal. Exotic cars, Porsche, white BMWs with tinted windows, Chrysler 300 on dubs and car accidents are an everyday occurrence.
