And it DIDN'T shatter the back window! Now I just have to figure out how to put the damn things down with the top up...
I accidentally hit a freakin jump last night in my 2001 325cic, caught a least four feet of air! Needless to say I was a bit rattled.

lol, yeah, happens. Technically it's part of the inspection procedure for verts. Good to know they work. Probably not very nice on your suspension though.

Might be a little tough getting leverage with the top up. Can you lower the top with them deployed?
I know I activated mine once, on purpose though. Easy to put down when you can get leverage.

I was happy to see that these do not damage the top or the window, like on the E36.

On a side note, does anyone have experience with these being deployed with the hardtop on?

It seems like my hard top is actually a wee bit taller than the soft top.

I was leaving for work when I found the bars activated. I'll go to a gas station tonight (no garage) and report back my experience

After a while i gave up on trying to lift the headrests, so what I did was operated the top just a few inches which seemed to relieve some pressure from the bars. I popped off the lids under the headrests, was able to hold the clip with one hand and work the bar down with the other. Didn't seem to do any damage to the top. =D
