Kosei K1 are doo doo if you're going to track your car, can't trust them, get something forged

A friend had to trade out their customer's Koseis on a track car, because they were flexing so much during cornering that the spokes were touching the front calipers while cornering. The car had 1/8"-1/4" of caliper to spoke clearance at static too.

If I were planning on tracking my car, then these things would concern me. If I had paid more than $550 for a set, I would also be concerned. But, since these are street wheels on fairly good roads, I don't have too many concerns about these things. If I had risked a much higher amount of money, I would have been concerned as well.
The truth is, I got a very lightweight set of wheels that I have not had any issues with so far, and I will not be heartbroken if something bad happens. If these were track wheels, then I would have bought forged wheels. But, they are not, and so far, I have not had issues. I saw the exact same pictures when I researched them, and I also noticed that they were exposed to stresses I will never see with my car.
So, I will enjoy the improved acceleration and braking, and I will know that every car I pass with some 35lb chunks of aluminum on all 4 wheels are not having as much fun as I am, and that I can easily outrun and out corner them if I wanted to.

Not OEM, so I can't let you do that. Non-OEM wheels are prone to violent explosions, leaving you stranded on the side of the road or dead. It's not worth it to get anything other than OEM. I will call you names if you disagree with me.

just kidding, lol

Thats right, just stick to the 3 Man rules and you'll be fine.
#1 Never wear pink
#2 Never ask for directions
#3 Never admit when you make questionable purchase.
Just messing with you though I did come across some interesting articles concerning the Kosei brand, these are NOT my opinions.

I went with the ARC-8's in Anthracite. Got them during the last group buy and couldn't be happier. I went with 8.5's due to I didn't want too aggressive and wanted the possibility to rotate the tires.

8.5 front/ 9.5 rear et35 and I know the rears are 20 pounds a wheel. It seems I can't find a confirmed weight, but it's either 21-20. Sorry.

I actually wanted a more aggressive offset but the wheel/tire place where I went said anything more than 35 and the wheel would stick past the fender. This set of wheels are aggressive already, so I took the advice.

Could you tolerate a tire wearing out in 15K miles if it gave you grip like nothing else ?

Being that I'm getting the lifetime warranty tire plan at discount tire, most definitely. I'll take all the grip available!
