thanks man, much appreciated! The wheels that are on it right now are TR motorsport's in 17x8.5 +40. pretty cheap wheels that can handle track abuse! They won't be on the car for much longer though. I'm switching to the enkei RPF1 in 18x8.5 +40 fairly soon.

Here are some updates on the build. About a week ago i recieved my order from turner. I ordered their complete cooling system overhaul kit.
Their kit came with a new rad, new thermostat, upgraded water pump, new expansion tank, expansion tank cap, hoses and a new coolant temp sensor. I figured it would be better to just replace everything at once with newer quality items instead of risking re using the old stuff that might come back to haunt me later.

Installed the new Thermostat and WP

My new M3 motor and tranny mounts came in too!

all that's left really to do before i put the motor back in is replacing the PS lines. it's possible to do with the motor in the bay but its so much easier with it out! lol.

(just airing it out. still smells like paint in there)

While i'm waiting for my parts I'll probably be messing around with making a toggle switch board for the center console so i can get rid of the headlight switch module. I would definitely have loved to reuse it but the A-pillar bars are in the way!

Thanks for following this and all the supportive comments Stay tuned for updates!

Update

Hey guys, Sorry about the lack of updates. School is keeping me very busy right now! I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel for starting this thing up. I've got most of the parts i need so now i just need another day off to get back to work on it!

Since my last post i threw the motor back in the engine bay. Now i'm just waiting on my pulley kit and belt from turner and some power steering parts from Pelican.

Here's some pics.

Got my Injectors refreshed at a local race shop. new seals and filters!

Made a CD player block off plate and i'm still messing around with a panel to hold the gauges, Headlight switch and traction control button. Just need more free time to mess around with it in the shop on a lunch break

Getting ready to throw it in there

Tranny attached!

Back home!

After this i couldn't resist a small photo shoot haha

While i'm waiting on parts i decided to do a brake service and clean things up a bit.

Sorry again for the lack of updates. i'll try my best to keep you guys updated as things progress! Expect some more pictures and a start up video soon

Definitely looking into it! Not sure when that will happen though. Probably when I'm no longer a broke student lol. Thanks for the compliments!

Hoping to get her started up later this week.

Started the car up for the first time the other day around midnight. I gotta say, It was a great feeling turning that key! Everything sounds and feels tight in the engine. Even took it out for a quick spin around the block...

Here's a picture of the madness in the garage the day of the start up. I got the drive shaft with new center bearing, flex disc guibo + nuts and bolts in. then attached the shifter linkages. put the heat shields back up then put the exhaust on. After this double checked all my connections (fuel, PS, coolant hoses, Electrical connections, Etc...) changed the filter, put some oil, PS fluid and coolant and re attached the battery. turned the key and fired up right away!

here's a pic from the day after. Took it out for another quick drive just so i could get a feel for the chassis with the roll cage. it feels incredible! I can't wait to take it out to a track day before the end of the season! It still needs lots of work but at least its running now. just the little things left to tick off on the checklist. Thanks for the kind comments so far on this thread. Really appreciate it! I'll keep you guys posted as the build continues.
