Brake upgrade??

Thinking about doing a brake upgrade to slotted and drillled rotors to my 04 xi. They sell a kit on several sites.

Has anyone done one of these on their xi? Any pros or cons comments are welcomed. thanks

They are garbage (especially the ebay ones). If you want to upgrade your brakes start with nice pads like performance friction z-rated or hawk HPS and a set of high quality blank rotors. If you want to go big, swap in 330i brakes.

Unless you are buying the very high quality (BMW Performance, Brembo, Stoptech, etc) ones, they are crap. The ones on ebay are likely cheap knock offs.

Don't bother, they won't give you any kind of an upgrade over what you have now.

I did the TMS complete front & rear (slotted) brake package 4 years ago along with Axxis Ultimate brake pads.

Must say the brake disk have been and are really good!
Now, 4 years later - almost no wear-edge on the disks and the centers still have the black/grey color on them.

As for the brake feel, I would say it's a slight upgrade from OEM brakes.
But the Axxis Ultimate brake pads needs some hard stops now and then to get that good bite.
I have now bought Axxis/PBR Metal Master pads to try them out.
