Hill Billy Dragging his BMW! What do you think I can run?

Hello,

Well, as the title says, I'd like your help on guessing my quarter mile time. This is my first time at a drag strip and am just trying to have a little fun. My car is a 2003 330ci 5speed. Modifications are as follows:

-Dinan Long tube Cold Air Intake (front bumper)
-Stett performance headers (cat-less)
-Magnaflow full exhaust
-AA tune
-3.46 differential
-17x9 D force LTW wheels (16.4 lbs)
-255 Nitto Invo tires
-Spare tire/tools removed

So what do you'll think... 14. slow?

your car is perfectly capable of running a 14.2 but there is no way you'll run that because you said its your first time.

My guess is 14.5.

Remember how to shift,1/4 gas tank ,low psi in the rear and if you see green you;re too late.

Stay safe and have fun

I'm very curious how it runs. My guess and hope is mid 14's I plan on running mine on a test and tune night before I start leaning on it. Have fun and let us know how it goes.

Because threads like these are pointless.

Reporting what you ran with those mods would be worth something. This isn't. The guessing game is almost as lame as drag racing a BMW.

With a very good driver and a tune, you might be able to hit 13.9-14.0.

Because you haven't dragged before, 14.8.

if they survive, 15 flat

I feel like anyone who drives a muscle car thinks it is far superior to all other cars.

So this:

is lame?
If you don't watch the whole video, she got black flagged at the end. Too fast, no cage... I wish I could be so lame...

Probably about 15.3 (minutes). After you make the money shift, it will take that long to get your car on the tow truck and across the line.

In for results though. Good luck.

Make an educated guess from here:
http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW--330Ci-Drag-Racing.html

I'll guess about 14.7, the shift into 4th will be right before the end of the quarter mile (at about 90 if you have a 7000 rpm redline)
