Manual trans?

Ok a fellow fanatics I got a question. I have a 2005 BMW 325 I 5 speed and I'm replacing my transmission fluid. I understand is a lifetime fluid but, considering the transmission i am installing has been drained i would think it is nessesary.... call me crazy. My question is what's the best recommended fluid to use? Ive read to use redline ATF yes i said ATF? Or Moble 1 synthetic 75/80. What do ya think?? A quick response would be greatly appreciated!!!

Manual trans?

When BMW says it is a lifetime lubricant, it means it lasts as long as they expect the car to last, say 250k. It is a good idea to replace the fluid. And if the transmission has no fluid in it then it'd be crazy to not fill it.

Unfortunately, I have no personal experience for a recommendation as my replacement is a far ways off.

I bought my car with bad syncs found a low milage replacement for 300 shipped. Now just looking for proper fluid. I chose Royal Purp 75/90 max gear synth.
