I will volunteer mine if they want to try it out!

I would love to know what transfer case you are using. I had ideas of using an x3 xdrive case in mine with in cabin bias control

Its a custom made case, we worked on the t-case and built our own t-case.

BMW t-cases would not hold the power we put down.

Okay, this separates you from the rest of us. Anyone following your thread in hopes of duplicating the build may have got off the bus with that statement?

Wow, I'd like to be your Turkish insurance agent or Jay Leno's lot boy!

We have tested XM3 (E46 Sedan M3 Twin Turbo) on narrow tires, 225-40-18s and at 600-650 whp level.

Traction was very good.

AWD system worked very good.

Decided to test E36 M3 Euro TT, my 1st M3, I bought it brand new 15 years ago. This E36 M3 has an individual paint, called FASHIONRED, has massive traction in RWD mode, it is RWD, and we aim to see 3,49 s 60-130 mph. E36 M3 did cut a 1,87 s 60-100 mph which is in the league of 1000 + whp GTRs, Gallardos. So even the Rear Wheel Drive E36 M3 has very good traction, we wanted to see 3,6-3,7 s 60-130 mph and this Project put a delay on XM3. XM3 will be tested in the next 7 weeks.

This is the Fashionred E36 M3 TT, its got appox 1000 whp.

My goal is to cut 60-130 mph in 3,49 seconds with this lovely E36 M3 TT.

Back to XM3,

We have welded / modified rear fenders to accomodate 315 or 335 tires easily.
This is done by fabricating sheet metal, not plastic fender lips.

Rear fenders painted:

OEM 330ix nose / front end looked bad, had to touch the nose

E46 M3 front hood and front fenders:

Note, I have purchased a brand new Vorsteiner Carbon Hood for XM3. Once the complete car will be resprayed, Vorsteiner hood will be installed.

E46 M3 front fenders are not a direct fit, we had to cut, weld...

This is the dash made by Cosworth, will replace E46 M3 Speedo.

the new speedo / dash is user configurable, meaning that any parameter can be displayed such as road speed, boost pressure, gear position, transmission temperature...

meanwhile new tires are being test fitted

Photo shows same size made by different vendors, very same size...

Video Vbox purchased to see 1/4 mile and 60-130 times and at the same time capture these data on video.

SPA fire extinguisher will be installed

Goal is to go 60-130 mph in under 3.00 seconds and also a 7.99 s 1/4 mile time.

We have tested All Wheel Drive System before focussing on E36 M3 TT and it worked well. Hope to have test results before the end of year in 7 weeks.

This is a sleeper E46
3500 cc stroked S54
All Wheel drive/ Rear Wheel drive depending on road condition
Fuel: Alcohol
12 fuel injectors
Twin turbo
Nitrous system
Automatic transmission
OS Giken LSD
Pectel engine management system....

You is one crazy dude! $200k to build a monster! Wow.

I love "Fuel: Alcohol"

I hope you spent $65,000 to fashion some new window regulators out of titanium since that is always what breaks on my 325xi. Oh yeah and make some special CV axle boots since mine seem to split all the time!

This is wild. I'm looking in to doing an S54 swap into an ixt. Then have some evil plans for it after that.. but my concerns were with the front differential and transfer case. Mind sharing some pictures/information on what you did to the front differential and transfer case in order for it to survive this power level?

My plan is to make a hybrid S54/xi pan and use stock BMW parts. (330xi trans, diff, shafts, etc) However, with a turbo I'm sure they won't survive very long. Is your Tcase/front diff made by BMW or other?

I love this build!

What kind of front diff LSD are you using, totally custom made or stock housing?

Any pictures of diff and transfer case?

Greetings from sweden!
