Need help with VENREM....

Iím wiring up a VENREM in my car tonight but I need some advice. I already tapped into the HK remote wire so I donít need the remote signal from the VENREM. Do I still need to give the VENREM power? I know the VEN2's & VEN4's donít need power. So Iím guessing the only reason the VENREM needs power is to generate a remote signal correct? Thanks!

FYI, I e-mailed Peripheral and they said you only need power & ground if you plan on using the remote turn on lead.
