Was worth it though. Another PR 2rep max. I'll go heavy again next leg day and then go back to the 200+ rep set series taking 10 off every 10-20 reps depending on how I feel.

Awesome man. I tend to always wear compression shorts, spun performance only, and never had this occur. I'm jealous.

Greg, there's a plug lol

My Ride: is totaled
I always put the bar across the top of traps and shoulders for squats
Then I watched a video on YouTube by rippetoe (?)
And what he was telling ppl to do (demonstrated by the younger dude) looks like the "low bar" positioning in the op's pic
The bar going across the top of shoulder blades
I tried that and it was really difficult to keep the bar there

So is "low bar" for people with more developed shoulder/back muscles? Or just a preference?
Stick to bar on top of traps?

I'm going to err on the side of preference as it makes no difference nor has any effect on the amount you can or can't squat.

Agreed

I wouldn't worry about it much. I'm probably somewhere in the middle. At the end of the day I don't think my legs would be any stronger if I moved the bar down a few inches.

The low bar/ high bar stuff is confusing. I guess I do high bar, but not really sure to be honest.

I know being tired and really spent after a workout might not be the best indicator of effectiveness, but when my legs are quivering afterwards, I feel I had a good workout. Disappointed I don't have that right now.

So I take that back. Went out for a bit and when I tried to get out of the car, I was cramping up bad. Had to sit back down and took me awhile to stand up lol. I drank a ton of water today too....guess one drop set too many.

Yup. I usually do legs early in the week too. But I've been having great recovery time. Again today did a 140 rep squat work out. 13 minutes. 0 fails. 7, 10lb weights on each side. Crucial burn. Did some jerk and cleans after followed by a couple hamstring focuses lifts to really try to build strength in them. Great leg day. Don't look forward to taking shits.

Front squat question?

Any big difference between the Olympic style grip and the crossed arm grip, I just can't seem to he my arms in the proper position for the Olympic style grip.

If it sounds like I have no idea what I'm talking about its because I don't.

Are you referring to the front squat? If so, there is a significant difference in the amount of leverage/thrust that you can generate when you FS using the clean position versus the crossed arm position. If you are having issues racking from the clean position, keep working at it. Your wrists/lats/triceps aren't flexible enough...............yet!

Yup, that's exactly what I'm talking about and exactly the issue.

I'll keep at it.
