It would be pretty damned inconvenient if it was locked and you needed it Keep it unlocked when in the car, and lock it up when you aren't with it

lol just wondering. i think some people have a dedicated glove box gun. i'll sometimes put mine in the glovebox but only when driving longer distances where i don't want to have it on me the whole time.

Yeah when I get in my car I put my daily carry in my door side picket, it can be a little uncomfortable, and sometimes scratches my leather

I carry either a S&W 638 Airweight in my pocket and/or a HK P2000 in a holster. If I am not carrying my HK, I bring a Glock 26 or Glock 19 to and from my car which I leave a 17 round and 33 mag in it. I just leave my Glock out and available while I am driving and put it away when I park and bring it in the house when I am home. It is much easier to grab the Glock while driving than to pull out of pocket or even holster.

I have a designated glovebox 9mm, it stays there all the time. I keep it locked when im at work but otherwise I leave it open. I also leave it in the car while in the garage, its another place where I have a gun should I need it.
