OEM LED TAILIGHTS m3 '01 upgrade

Hi this is my first M3 it is an 01 so far its an awesome car. I would like to remove the taillights and upgrade them to the LED oem tails. I've purchased the tails already but I've been searching on the forums from what I've understood they are not plug and play. I've got to flash my LCM which is not a problem but is there more to be done after that? My build date is 06/2001. If somebody has an 01 and gone through this process please explain

Btw I've called numerous BMW certified dealers ( rallye, habberstad, competition) and nobody wants to help. I've also been told directly by them to just buy aftermarket kits available online and bring them to us and we will install for you (I've seen the aftermarket depos & eagle eyes and they just do not compare to the oem quality). They were all not helpful at all so hopefully I can get some feedback from you guys.

You need to code your LCM (light control module) so that you don't have the check tail light on the dash. Also you need the harness kit to adapt, here is a link http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E46-M3-...ight/ES161762/

If you don't the oem lights, PM pricing with shipping.

The aftermarket tail lights are plug and play, no need to code the LCM and no cable adapter necessary.
Here is the best price i found on a set of Eagle Eyes which look the same as the OEM.

I am not sure. if you do, possibly since its an 01 M3. You can see if it can be coded with NCS.
