Power Steering Reservoir-Drain - Refill Questions

I had the usual leaky cap leak on the Power Steering reservoir which I replaced last weekend. I did an extract of the ATF fluid and refilled. Drove around for a few days and did another extract and refill and the fluid looked good when it came out. Am I missing that much fluid by not draining and doing two extracts from the top?

I also do oil changes at 8-10K using extraction only. I measure what goes in and what comes out and I am normally within a few ounces, so not sure if draining is going to get much, if any more oil.

Note: Time to check your tire pressure! I was running at 22psi on the fronts and filled up all to 35psi. MPG went up a bunch!
