Best tyres for E46 M3.. Suggestions?

Hankook Ventus v12 evo's... Soft compound which grip nice and arent loud, but hard enough to last have an alignment done to really compare thread life and also check your camber if your lowered.

How's the comfort on the V12's, especially compared to PSS?

I'm using Yokohama Advan Neova AD08s at the moment (R Spec semi slicks). Love them. Amazing grip, nice looking tread pattern, and getting good longevity from them. I will probably buy another set when these ones need replacing.

Me too with the Advan's. Just switched from Conti's. I run Advan Neovas on the 911, and absolutely love them, so giving them a try on the M3. Put them on yesterday, they look sweet and feel great already.

We have PSS on both the E64 and the E46. Best all around tires I have found for occasional track days and DD.

I run v12s and i simply hate them. Poor traction even in dry condition. I put on more than 15.000km and still there is plenty of tread left, that makes me believe i can double that!

+1 on the V12 Evo's. These tires are a great bang for your buck.

If you want the all around best summer tires for your car, they'd probably be the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Have only heard great things about them.

Tires

I've run Hankook RS 3's in autocross and finished second to the FTD Bimmer e36 on Hoosier A 6. Have run them at VIR 2 track days in 50' deg temp and 2 days at Road Atlanta. 1 rain 3" and another day mix with wet and dry. Tires were awesome!

The ride comfort with my PSS's is noticeably stiffer than my old V12's. But the performance is so much better that it's worth it. Will be trying the Toyo R888's next .

I am Michelin sport as and they have compound rating of 400. Excellent handling and great wear with nothing but spirited driving. Good hunting Dennis
