B.G. man wrecks newly purchased Corvette

Like the title says.. Then you have to sit in it 1 hour after wrecking it.. Check out the photo

B.G. man wrecks newly purchased Corvette

A Battle Ground man wrecked his newly purchased sports car in Oregon on Tuesday night, and then had to sit in the wreckage for an hour until downed power lines could be made safe.

Ethan Cross, 42, had just purchased his 1998 Chevrolet Corvette earlier in the day, according to Clackamas County sheriff's deputies. According to a news release, he was driving too fast when he apparently accelerated and lost control, hitting a power pole.

The accident occurred just after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Bakers Ferry Road and Highway 224, near the town of Boring.

The power pole splintered and power lines fell near the Corvette. Cross, who was uninjured, had to wait in the wreckage of his new car for more than an hour before the power lines could be de-energized and it was safe for him to walk away.

The crash left more than 2,000 Portland General Electric customers in the Boring area without power.

Cross was cited for reckless driving, according to the sheriff's office.

Article says "newly purchased" several times before it says "new".

Despite the " marks, nowhere in the article does it say new sports car.

The best part of the story is the photo and having to sit in the wrecked car for 1 hour until they shut down the power. Bad enough you wrecked your new (newly bought) car, but having to sit there embarassed and everyone looking at how dumb you are! Just made me smile!

It's basically a suburb of Portland. It's where you would live if you commuted to Portland but wanted to live on 10 acres.

Or if you wanted to fvck sheep in privacy.
