What Headphones do you guys use in the gym?

Ok, I need some new headphones, I lost the ones that came with my iphone 5 a while ago, I have a couple pairs of crappy skullcandys that don't work half the time, and some old Bose ear buds that are in rough shape. What is everyone using for the gym? Not looking to spend a fortune by the way

This thread has been made but was from 2007.

Probably not the answer you wanna hear but I don't listen to music while working out so I can focus. With headphones you have to watch for wires and limit your ROM for certain exercises. I'm in the gym to workout not to listen to music.

But if you insist and want some quality headphones I use Sennheiser and Bose. Both have been great. Stay away from Nike ones as they're unreliable.

Use Bose headphones which come with two lengths for working out and a slim armband which doesn't limit ROM.

I may just pick up another pair of the newer apple ear buds, they seem to be the best bang for the buck. I've ruined one set of Bose ear buds in the gym, don't want to ruin another set of $100 headphones.

I use the Motorola S-10 Bluetooth wireless headphones for ease if you're lifting and getting rid of the cord if you're running. They work great, cheap price, and you can still pick the phone call up if someone calls.

I use these:

I open random drawers in my house and find apple ear buds and cheap $10 pairs on a weekly basis. Just find something that has quality sound and stays in your ears.

Yeah I have a ton of pairs of the earbuds, however the new earpods are a lot better.

Yeah they are better, sound quality is still not the greatest. Without having that removable plastic cushion, sweat gets into them pretty easily.

It does at least for me, if you do leg-ups hanging or T-bar rows good luck keeping the headphones in place and not having to worry about the wire pinching your skin. At the end of the day it's a personal preference.

If you don't care about the wire for working out then I would invest in a set of headphones by Ultimate Ears. They were bought out by Logitech in the past couple of years but they're quality can't be matched. I currently (also) have the Triple Fi 10's and they are incredible. Best part is that each ear has three separate drivers each dedicated to the range of sound. The ear pieces are made out of either silicon or they have a set made from memory foam that I personally enjoy using. I transit through Penn Station NYC every weekend and I can walk through and hear almost no noise at all. The headphones block out 26 db of sound so they are something to consider if you plan on spending a bit more.

I use klipsch rugged in-ear headphones, they have great sound quality (for my mixes ) and are reinforced so they don't break

http://www.klipsch.com/image-s4i-rugged-blue

they have a bunch of different styles/colors

I paid $89

I use the basic Sony ear buds. I've ruined at least 3 pair in the gym, so I don't buy expensive headphones anymore. I need to cancel out the background nonsense (..and the generally sh|tty music being played) in the gym. I focus more when I have my headphones in, and my chosen song on repeat.

P.S. LOL @ limiting range of motion. About the ONLY time that I have to be creative with my headphones is when I'm performing Cleans/Power Cleans, and even then I just route the wire up through the back of my shirt to my ears. z00 is nuts!

I usually use apple buds, recently changed to the Samsung buds that came with my Galaxy Nexus....sound quality is much better but they fall out of your ears when you run. Back to ibuds!

I use apple earphones that I picked up from all4cellular for $6 awhile back . Don't have to worry about breaking expensive earbuds. Not bringing the Sennheiser's in their that's for sure.
