Relay

Relay
Hello have a question regarding connecting a relay. I have a output wire from my non-OEM alarm that is negative and activates the parking light when alarm is activated-1 flash, de-activated-2 flashes, and alarm tripped constant flashing.

Where on my BMW 330ci 2003 would I connect the relay to. I looked on the drivers side where the light switch is and went inside the dash but looks like the switch is attached to the LCM (light Control Modual) Where do I need to tap into? If the wire out put from my alarm is negative do i actually need a relay.

See pic of relay..

Any suggestions???

ok what you have to do is. take the outpu tout of the alarm and put it to the pin numbered 85 assuming the output is negative. then give the 86 pin a constant 12v . now for the trickey part. take out the LCM take the front off of it and you will see a ribbon cable holding the two pieces together. With the switch facing towards you, you need to interrupt the fourth wire from the left with the relay pins 30 and 87a . pin 30 going to the switch side of the LCM. got it?

so pin 85 output from alarm
pin 85 12v
pin 30 to switch side of LCM
pin 87a LCM side.

what is going to happen is when you hit the alarm key the relay will energize and disconnect the two wires turning on the lights and when it not touched it will act like is not even there. take a pic of that relay wires facing camera just the way its laying there now.

Not yet.. Yesterday I installed Components up front, mid in rear deck, Sub in trunks, two amps, and all the wiring.

Going to get to the the relay. On Monday.. Japan has a three day weekend.. Got to take the wife out before she start complaining about the time I spend on the car...With all the mods going into the car feels like I am spending $1000 a week on stuff.

The only thing I need now is the Shark injector.. Then I am done...
