Some people bring it on themselves.

I just had the most frusturating armslist experiance ever.

I am/was/still am selling a preban colt ar15. A guy from maryland contacted me. I spent a HOUR explaining the process of how it has to be shipped. Then he dosent want to get his FFL involved... wanted me to ship it to his house... NOOOO...

Calls me back with more questions, I spend another 20 minutes dealing with that.... I told him that I cannot ship it with the 30 rounder to MD. He wanted me to try and sneak it with the rifle anyway.... NOOOooooo He seemed fine it would ship with out a mag.

Called me back again.... a hour later So what are you going to give me on the magizine.... I'm not going to pay more for a mag than what I can buy them for so I tell him $10, nevermind the fact that he's pissing me off at this point.

I finally told him $10 off, thats $1340 shipped for a preban colt. You can take the cash or find another rifle... "I want the rifle, I'll take the rifle but I want $20 off" then he goes on telling me how shady I am.

You're a more patient man than I am. I would have just told him he's out of the running and denied the sale.
Some people are just idiots.

When I sold my M1A, I dealt with a guy from California. I had to actually call the FFL to find out what I needed to do since my gun was not CA legal. Had to disassemble the mags to send them separate, take off the flash hider, etc. Nope, I just decided to cancel the order. Guy got all butthurt and tried to give me a negative review on SnipersHide.
Since then, when I've sold a gun, I always post "WILL NOT SELL/SHIP TO A BAN STATE".

Yep I've had this shit happen to. People have backed out on sales after ive turned down other buyers as well; that is the thing that makes me most angry. I suppose it's the price we pay for selling our stuff for free

Some guy here in Tampa was offering David and I the same item. David is selling Glock mags and the guy offered to trade him a crossbow. I'm selling a 5.11 Range Bag and he offered me the crossbow. My ad said that I am willing to trade for Glock 19 or Glock 17 mags. The guy then came back and asked how many Glock mags I would need to trade.

I'm really hoping the guy buy's David's mags to then trade to me for the bag.

I really hate selling online.

Had a kid yesterday wanting 45 bucks a oz trade value for silver.

Another today emailed "If this doesn't sell, I'll give you $25 for it." for a part I have listed for $20 that has no bids and has been listed for over a year now.

I just had a guy balk at the shipping cost for the ammo he bought from me on gunbroker. The auction says that buyer pays actual shipping cost. It was nearly $40 to ship the ammo across the country and now I think he's backed out because it was too expensive. This is on ammo that is already costing him $850. The shitty thing is that there's basically nothing I can do about it I don't thing, aside from reporting him to gunbroker as a non-paying buyer and re-listing. I'm furious.

Too many people think you owe them something, as if they are doing you a huge favor by buying your stuff. I've had this happen. This is why I just traded in my Mazda. I could have made more selling my Mazda beater outright, but I didn't want the headache of dealing with annoying buyers who try to nickel-and-dime me. Had that happen to me the two previous cars, and came close to snapping. Just too many people with an undeserved sense of entitlement, or just a complete disconnect from reality.

I know with gun sales, I had to put in the "no ban state" thing because there were too many Jim-Bob nuts that wanted stuff that would get me in hot water with the BATFE.

Was it because he realized that ammo is scarce right now? Or that ammo has to be ground shipped as HAZMAT?

I absorbed $5 of a $40 shipping bill. I did it because it was stuff I wanted (delivery confirmation, signature required). By the language of the listing and the policies of gunbroker, the buyer should have covered all of it.

The guy is a scumbag though I think. He wanted me to break federal law by sending it through USPS because it would be cheaper. I told him to fvck off.

I have not seen this bill. Care to send me a link? Has it passed?

I dedicate 1-2 hours of my morning solely to internet orders, and this is the first I've heard of this - although it's not my ass on the line...

Passed in the Senate, still has to make it through the House. Obama is in support.

Jesus Christ. This will be a disaster.

The company I work for charges tax in WI & NC. WI is straight forward, one tax %. NC we have a 5 page list of cities, as each county has it's own tax %. I can't imagine having to do this for multiple states...

Right now i sell primarily on armslist and gunbroker. One of every 10 e-mail equates to a sale, the rest are people offering me 10/22's for brand new FNH's and generally insulting offers.

Cant wait to get the store open soon!!
