If your just gonna use it just for this trip, Lifeproof is fine. It disintegrates very quickly though, I'm on my third one in less than a year though the second one was replaced for free. I recommended it here before but I would not do so again after it fell apart 2 weeks after my recommendation. I would not recommend it if your gonna swim with your phone. It's okay for splashes, spills and a little rain and its not really designed to be taken off and put back on a lot. Below are my collection of cases not removed from the day it was bought. Only when replaced. Encircled are the damaged rubber and the arrow points to the camera lens that got loose. This was under normal use and never dropped.

Water proof iphone cases

Hate bulky cases but someone gave me a life proof when I had my 4. I was messing with my freshly sharpened sog knife and I dropped it blade first on my phone and sliced the case open

Dude, I don't really know you despite our years on this site. But your statement might not be true.

You sometimes vid your workouts. You're thinking about buying a mountain bike. You travel. You jump over chicks in parking lots and hug big women in hotel lobbies. You own and use a Fleshlight.

You certainly seem to be an adventurous guy. So if you had a GoPro, or one of the rugged cameras I linked above, I think it's possible you'd actually get a lot of usage out of them.

You say that, but you'll film anything and everything when you have a camera that can go anywhere without you worrying about hurting it. I carry mine to parties all the time just in case; it's waterproof and small enough I can fit it in my pocket so why not. You have a nearly indestructible HD camera, you'll find uses.

Not a scratch on the phone. Actually saved the phone. But there was a slice 3/8" long on the screen part of the case. No longer water proof.

0:11 mark, bubbles coming out of case=water getting in.

It is true that a bubble test can show a leak.

But at 0:11, he had just dived in. Those bubbles are just coming off the leading edge of the housing as it gets fully immersed.

I just got back from Cozumel doing a bunch of snorkeling

Take a dedicated camera - use it then return it via amazon if u wish

We used one of those "cover your camera in a plastic bag" deals and it took okay photos

Honestly the snorkel gear u use is more important - mask dry snorkel & split fins

Me and the gf swore off cruises btw - I was having a hard time staying put at the hotel let alone a damn boat lol

Never heard of lifeproof, but have heard of and seen liquipel on tv. Look into it, watch YouTube vids, you decide if it is real or not.
