I just went to Sears lol. Real doctor, name brands, fine for me.

Its not that bad to wear glasses.

Although, I only need them to read small print and to drive (two different ones)

I got Caterpillar for distance, Ray Bans for sunglasses, and $10 generic 1.00 and 1.50 magnifiers for
small print.

I never left the house without sunglasses on anyway, so no biggie for me.

I prefer Maui Jim but they were $700 and my Ray Bans were $100.

My middle vision is normal.

I got mine at the doctor's office, but I wasn't too worried about the look because I rarely have to wear them, only when I'm staring at a computer screen for days on end.

I got my glasses and sunglasses from here:

http://www.coastal.com/

First pair is free. If you get the better lenses, it comes out to be $50 more.

i use mine for driving but I never use them, I just keep them in the car.

I bought my last pair at WM because it was convenient but the next time I need some I will get them online.

They are much cheaper online.

Same sitution here, 20/20 my whole life.

I got my frame from ebay (Tag Heuer)
And had the glasses cut to my prescription and mounted to the frame from a local glasses store.

How old are both of you if you don't mind me asking. 27 now myself with 20/20 wondering how much longer I can go before my vision goes south or if there are any ways to prolong it?

LMAO best post in this thread. I was waiting at the optometrist for those pupil dilation drops to kick in and I'm still not able to see the text on my phone properly lol.

I'm 35. Online seems like the way to go. I went to an Indy optometrist next to my apt. Very convenient. I have the EyeMed vision care plan from my employer. Will check out what their rates are and don't mind going to eBay or amazon or what not if that's the best deal. My mom swears by Chanel and Versace (baller I know) and I love dolce & gabbanna myself.

Let's see what's out there.

The word "there" can appear as a pronoun, as in “over there."

"Their" is a possessive pronoun. In a phrase like “Susan and Bill's car,” it could be used to to make a new phrase: “their car.”

”They're” is a contraction of “they are.” “They are” should always be able to replace “they're.”
-----------
Extra Credit: It's "I'm looking for an M3"
not "I'm looking for a M3".

This.

The only good thing left in the Sears name is the Optical Department. I prefer them over Lenscrafter. With my insurance, usually get a complete pair of raybans for $20 or so after all the deductions

You're talking for prescription sunglasses right? What about regular glasses?

I wore contacts for 4 years and now it's hard to wear them. Your eyes only have a certain amount of time they can wear them. For some people it's a year. For some they can go their entire life. Basically, get glasses first, then get contacts to wear for sports, social events, whatever.

Doesn't matter where you go. Just make sure they take your insurance and carry a variety of brands. I like my Oakleys. Ray Bans are popular. Really depends on how you look to determine what you should wear (dark, light, metal, plastic, thick vs thin vs no rim)
