I think there should be a limit on ammo, but not ONE box... I buy at least 3 different calibers when I go.

I just gave up entirely on buying "cheap" ammo.. The amount of time I was spending calling into Dick's to try and buy 3 boxes (limited) of ammo just didn't outweigh the additional cost spent buying it online.

Now I'll just go to www.gunbot.net, find the cheapest still available (most good deals sell out in minuets) and pick it up. Bought 200 rounds of 223 for 130 shipped and felt it was reasonable.. might not have been the best deal in town, but it's better than spending 10 dollars on gas to go get 60 rounds (3 boxes) for 8 or 9 bucks a box.

I think it is STUPID to limit to one box, should be limit on number of rounds or price amount. We would not want the Walmart employees heads exploding though.

Is a 555 round box of .22 really the same 5 shotgun shells?

I do the same thing. Searching online for a good deal on ammo is now kinda a hobby for me. Takes a little time but when I can get a brick of 22LR cheap..I get real happy. Sometimes I miss the deals, sometimes I get one. Got tired of driving around looking for ammo or standing in line on a delivery day.

One thing though, when you see ammo in stock at Walmart...does not always mean they update their stock online. I have found it wrong actually most of the time.

Ours limits customers to 3 boxes of any one caliber - so you can buy 3 boxes of each of 4 different caliber if you want. Last time I was there I picked up 60 rounds of 223 and 100 rounds of 9mm. Didn't really need either, but if you pick up a little here and a little there you're not stressing about ammo.

There is not ONE Walmart in Dallas area that has 9mm ammo, NOT ONE!

Same deal here. But it's been literally bone dry since newtown. The moment ammo comes in. It's gone.

Sign up for Midway USA alerts and act FAST.

Picked up some .308 in brass yesterday at less than $1 per round shipped.

It is out there, just have to be patient and buy a little here and there.

at least they get it, limit quantities, keep prices normal, and you have a chance.

I even got some .22LR under .05 per round not too long ago from them.

agreed im thankful for the normal prices. Sadly with life/job I can never get the notifications in time. I'll just have to check on walmart every other week to see if something gets leftover, im not paying 50cents a round for 9mm
