Alignment

So not sure if this info is already known, but TirePlus if it is in your area, has a lifetime alignment for $150. I have used them for other vehicles, but not the BMW. Thinking of trying them out on it.

IMHO not worth it with places like that. Can't guarantee they'll do it to specs. I always use an Indy BMW shop when it comes to alignments.

Any shop that has a Hunter laser alignment setup can do our car. The computer has BMW's specs in there. It even tells them to ballast the car, though most don't.

nope. I would use a BMW Indie shop too or even the dealer. When I had my Hondas/Acuras I used the dealer because I had bad history with my first car. They claim they did the work, and they don't.

My experience with TiresPlus ended when they refused to align the rear due not having the proper "BMW tool".

the proper "bmw tool" would be an 18mm socket

The funny thing was, the tech who broke this news to me claimed to have come from a local BMW indie (which I now also avoid).
