E46 330Ci or M3?

I was wondering if I should keep my 2002 330Ci and add appearance and performance mods to look and be like an m3 or just wait a year to get a 2003-4 M3?

My Ride: E46 ///M3
Hey man was sort of in your boat this year. I had a 325i at 100k 03 e46 and was going to make it look like my ///M3 I have now and turbo the 325. I drove the e46 ///M3 and it makes my 325i feel like a Honda civic. I got the SMG version with is a manual but with no clutch but pump has has been known for going out. When I bought it last month it was just replaced and I have it under warranty so no worries and with the SMG you get launch control get the M3. its more for maintaince like ~5k or more due to going through rear tires unless you get the pilot supersports and oil changes are more and inspection 1 and 2 about every 20k or less is about 3 thousand. When your driving and smoking cars and motorcycles it's worth it do it!

As much body kits and rims and what not that you put on it, it will never be an ///M. Wait it out and it will be worth it. My suggestion is start looking now and when the price is right, jump on it!

+1. Must be M3. Nothing else compares. it cant be replicated, too many distinct features that set an e46 M3 apart from other 3 series cars, unlike an e36 M3.

If you like your 330 then keep it if you want something more serious get a m3.

Seriously this topic has been beaten to death

If you want M3 like acceleration you can look into supercharger kits such as the one from VF found HERE. If you want the car to handle closer to the M, coilovers, sway bars, etc will get you closer.

E46 330Ci or M3?

Just wait until you can afford a clean, well maintained M3. Trust me. It's worth it. Don't settle for high mileage crappy M3's that you pay 12 grand for. Get a nice one. It's worth every penny.

THIS. You are going to pay for this car either pay for a well maintained one or get it cheap and pay for even more maintenance.
