Hell yeah, that's what it's all about. My '84 Mercedes still has the original 'dangly' from the rearview mirror when it was new. It talks about the ingenuity of airbags and sh!t. Brilliant + bravo for the owner's manual collectors.

$93 at Amazon, but you can find it a bit cheaper. Check the classifieds on here, sometimes someone has one for sale cheap. It is very helpful, but there are also huge gaps in things they don't address. For example, they are useless when it comes to any interior disassembly issues. It is a good reference, but there is a lot of better information to be found on this forum, IMO.

Maybe if you got her to hold a sign, I'd believe you!

Also, as I know she'll be reading this, may I say to her "you're lovely and obviously have a wonderful spirit. I'm quite sure I have many more years of experience than any man you've ever been with. I know things, what can I say? I have a very refined sense of humor, can still move around pretty well for an old guy, and if you ever give up on your fanatic (presuming this isn't you...or is it?), I want you to know, if you ever visit NYC area, I'd gladly take you out for Mexican or something...you can bring along TR4G if you're still with him."

...any chance of getting a sign that says "dmax should win COTY" or something?

She is indeed my girl. She has quite the spirit, but even so she can get fed up with the fanatic side of me (pointing out every bimmer on the road. She thought it was super weird that I put a note onto a particularly well kept 330 asking if he wanted to help a fellow fanatic change out his ps rack [me] [he was clearly spooked as he didn't email me back but come on, a euro plate reading 'm54b30'? must be a fanatic!...apparently not]). She does however know the difference between facelift and preface (obviously prefers the preface ), mtech and mtech2, e30 v e36 v e39 v e46 v e9X, the works. She's into older cars, but 2x the age in a man might be pushing it. She approves of your fern green e46 We look forward to meeting you in person at bimmerfest east 13. Interestingly enough, we do occasionally make it up to NYC to spend time with her family. The saw mill parkway is pretty fun in an e46!

Well, if she's still with you, remind me to give you some of my favorite female learnings...you never know. I'm old school! lol

Saw Mill is fun...so is the Merritt Pkway...and so, honestly, is NYC. Actually, every place is pretty fun in this car!

Tell her I'll bring her a PS reservoir gasket to use however if she just does this one more sign!
