Don't be so quick to knock ebay turbo kits. Some of them can be reliable. Personally I have built a 600awhp GSX with nothing but a ebay turbo parts. There are guys over at turbomustangs.com putting down some serious power with teh gt45's from ebay.

Best of luck with the turbo situation. Hope you get it sorted out and enjoy her.

Gt45s are tried and true from eBay, I had one as well. Haven't heard anything good about any other Turbo off of there.

eBay's just another market place to buy stuff. The largest flea market in the world really.

Sounds like they have installed a standalone FMU. Probably the only way to go, otherwise you'd have to crack the M42. That would be a challenge.

Suscribed looking forward to see how this litlle project is going , i might do the same instead of a supercharger kit , turbo will be top quality though , need the best to go with the best / supersprint exhaust and headers + ecu remapping stage 2 , and i think that is where everyone should start to improve performance , with a good cold air intake wit a heatshield, u got this installed then u remapp ur ECU and ur good to go with a brand new car lol

People have turbocharged 323's in the past. It's not possible. It's just that there's too much ignorance on E46 forums to even consider the possibility.

I've talked to two guys that have turbocharged their 323s, both of the cars blew up. Good luck, OP.

I bought my 330ci with intentions of turboing it. Then I read up on the dme tuning and sold all my Turbo parts. Unless you spend 3k for standalone there's not much chance. Running an fmu might get a halfass boost setup with almost guaranteed motor kaboomness.

^ this has been going on for many many years..

It only leads to cars that mysteriously get stolen or cars that turn into big heavy paper weights..

unless this is a technique tuning turbo you should of kept your jeep. my buddys 328 that was so called "turboed" with an ebay kit blew up within 1 1/2 hours of boostin 8 psi on the freeway. not a fun job picking up scraps and your hood off the freeway. good luck though, werre all very interested in how this comes out. the safer and better way on these cars is to just slap on a beefy supercharger.

To original poster. I read that you took the car back because it was running rich. I also read that you have a tial bov. On any car with a bov the car will idle rich and nearly stall when the clutch is pressed in or after you let the gas pedal out after a boost run. The vented air needs to go back into the intake not atmosphere. Issues with richness can be from that or the O2 sensor location.

Re: Bought a lemon turbo 323 ci how much boost

That is completely dependent on the location of the maf vs the bov.

If the maf is setup in a blow though and the bov is before it, it will run fine.
