that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. in fact, we used to keep a 750i in stock JUST to show the difference in build quality.

Again though I must ask, how did you come to this conclusion?

I have always lusted after an S8. The new ones are stunning, inside and out.

Lol at the people who have 10 year old e46s, complaining about the interior of a $100,000+ car.

The 7's interior is clean and functional.

Not cluttered and trying too hard like Audi is doing with their a8. Also the plastics and surfaces/overall build quality in audis still aren't up to par with BMW/Mercedes IMO. They do have better styling in recent years though.

A base f01 740i was a bit of an unfair comparison so why not look at a fully decked out 750li ///M sport or a 760li and get back to me. Or how about an s63.

Don't forget about individual 7 series as well.

I daily drove a 2003 S430, 2007 S550, 2009 S550, and now the 2012 A8L 4.2

The Audi blows away all of those cars, and when compared to the 750Li the Audis styling is much nicer. The interior is stunning and has much more features than the S550 had. I love the massaging seats as well, it feels like a chair from brookstone while the S550 felt like somebody poking me in the back every few seconds.

The Audi drives just amazing, and my only complaint is that I wish I waited for the 4.0T. I had it since August and put over 8k miles thus far. Not one problem thus far while the previous S-Classes had some issues that were annoying.

Yes. More buttons. It does look kinda' tacky. They just over did it. So, what would it take to start the engine? Press 5 buttons, hold brake, put a password in and push ignition button?

complaining? no... but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i in fact am not crazy about any audi interiors. i think the red lighting (not just in these over exposed pics) is cheap and harsh on the eyes, i'm not particularly fond of their steering wheels, and in general, audi has a shitload of buttons on the interior, twice that of bmw, at least so it appears.

i like simple interiors with a functional design.. bmw and porsche do it best IMO, however porsche has been button-ing it up a bit. regardless... i'm sure its a beautiful interior, just not my first choice.

audi makes the best interiors in germany, hands down. it's been a while, but all the car shows were praising what they did with lambo back in the day. hasn't changed much; minimalist with function, style, and quality. I really wish BMW didn't get rid of the driver-centric angle post-e46. but the quality is still lacking.

the people ITT who sell german cars know.

That huge center console looks way out of place. Kind of like the consoles found in large Chevy pickup trucks. Not my cup of tea, but I'd take a sip.

Oh and to add to the guy who said all Audi interiors are crap, in person they feel like crap, my buddy's r8 even with the upgraded leather dash still feels cheap. The plastics are hard and leather thin with lack of texture. The aluminum trim is actually just painted plastic. I was pretty disappointed. The b&o sound package also lacked in bang. Which is a shame because it's expensive as heck.

Just checking in here to say that interior is kind of tacky and the exterior looks bland and bloated like the rest of Audi's line up. -10 out of 10.
