I was making fun of your academic candidacy for Harvard since you mentioned you are glad you didn't go. It was never an option.

The median return on investment for graduating college appears to be in the 5.x% range according to that. Not too shabby.

I absolutely love how all you kids in here talk about going into IB and being a billionaire wallstreet banker, quoting the stats as if you can attain it.

99.99% of you won't be a IB on WallStreet. My GF's middle brother is a IB and they aren't swimming around in pools of cash.

Hard Sciences are a great secure path if you enjoy the material or are good at it.

In my opinion success in life is more about your family background. As opposed to what college you went to, or if you went at all.

Well off people, for the most part, attend college. Poor people do not.

On the real though, the US prizes education above common sense. I can't tell you how many people I know that went to college that are just outright dumb.

Going to college doesn't make you smart.

God you just don't get it. Life and these things are what YOU make of it. People that follow statistics make me sick. You could go to Harvard then graduate and work at Foot Locker, too.

F2B really does seem to just spend his entire life reacting to what other people do. Be yourself, make your own mark.

You're entitled to you opinion, regardless of how wrong I think that opinion is.

I went to a number of colleges. Did a little more socializing then studying, so I met a lot of people and still have a lot of friends that graduated.

The ones that came from the hood and had to take out TONS of loans to graduate, are still pretty much in the hood. The ones who came from well off families, are doing really well. The ones from well off families who dropped out, are doing really well. The ones from the hood who dropped out, are still in the hood.

catch my drift?

For the most part people are a product of their environment.

There are a select few who rise above their raisin through either sports or intelligence or some other vehicle, but this is why demographics are typically a cycle.

Why do you think the 75% of black males born into fatherless homes are exponentially more susceptible to falling into crime? Why do you think the rednecks out in bumblef*ck are having 6 kids, and then the daughters are getting knocked up at 16?

You are a product of your environment.(for the most part)

Just because you settled for mediocrity doesn't mean we have to
