^^^^ Haha Declan.

It was from an online site where you simply plug the variables in and it spits out a range of quotes from various freight companies. Same site also produced the $450.00 quote. Once I get final dimensions I will get a firm quote and go with the best (not just $ but insurance, reputation etc etc).

Looks like I won't be making the track day though mate.

Was it http://www.temando.com/ ? I've gone through them before and it was nice and easy.

All good if you can't make the track day, there will be plenty of other opportunities

Front and rear brakes photo

Here is a photo of the front and rear brakes.

Fronts are 6 spot callipers, rears are 4 spot callipers. All rotors are 310mm.

As you know the car is red and the centre of the Simmons wheels is black. Considering that I am thinking of painting the calipers either brilliant red the same colour as the car, or alternatively, yellow. What are peoples thoughts on this?

Andjust an FYI - the front lower lip will be painted black to tie in with the "skirts", the area below the rear bar and the rear spoiler.

Quick update with more photos

The engine is now out of the donor car and with the gearbox is on a pallet ready to be shipped.

From the information that Phil is giving me it really will be quite an easy plug and play for which I am very thankful.

Phil sent me some photos of the engine and I attach them for you.

Love your work Tim! I vote for black calipers. If it has to be a colour though then go with red

All this E30 build makes me cry i just want one. Painting the front lip to match the door skirts will look much better As for the colour of the brakes leave them black maybe paint the writing red. Engine looks good upgrading Diff at all ?

Yep upgrading diff too.
Getting a fully built 40% lock up LSD diff from a company in the States. Still deciding on the ratio. It's between 3.9 and 4.1.

Question time.

Does anyone here have any experience with E36 M3s? The reason I ask is that the S50B32 is obviously out of an E36 M3.

What I want to know is about rear mufflers. I am now in the market for one and am leaning towards an Eisenmann muffler but would like to hear from anyone with experience.

I don't want drone and want a nice note that flows well.

Tim.

Bugger

TNT buggered up so instead of the engine, gearbox etc shipping today it won't be until Monday next week.

A massive PITA for Phil who took time off work for the collection. Mad props to him - such a great guy.

On more positive news the camber plates arrived today.

The build proper should start the week after next.

Plenty of photos to come.

i honestly think you ll find it a bit too short...especially for the street.
mine is a 3.73 and first is a touch too short, second is just about right and 3rd is spot on. and thats with an increased rev limited to 7600.

Eisenmann is great. so is Supersprint (race or street).
my friends here have Bastuck (german made). cost them about 750ish delivered from Germany. i love the exhaust note of it, not too loud but its a deep sound!
