I think you may have convinced me to go 3.73

Eisenmann is great. so is Supersprint (race or street).
my friends here have Bastuck (german made). cost them about 750ish delivered from Germany. i love the exhaust note of it, not too loud but its a deep sound!
I'll have a look at the Bastuck - especially for that price. The Eisenmann and Supersprint, as expected, are very dear.

i dont wanna be responsible for you not liking your diff ratio lol

even Phil was running 3.64 in his and said he wouldtn go much higher than that.... (maybe do some more research to be happy, or come to Perth for a test drive )

this is where they bought from
http://www.fmw-tuning.de/BMW/3er-E36...1444_1445.html

only thing is im pretty sure they only make twin 76mm pipes (there is a gap too between pipes so might be too wide for your exhaust cutout). but im sure any exhaust shop can just install smaller tips

Haha! Phil put the 4.1s in his car for a while and said that really 1st, 2nd and most of 3rd were all a waste of time. So I'm really leaning towards the 3.73s. Also, from now doing more research the gears can be bought for fairly cheap so if I install those gears and don't like them I won't be blowing too much coin.

Phil tells me that the engine etc has been collected by TNT.

Fingers crossed sometime in the next 7 days everything will touch down at GT Auto Garage at Aspley.

There will be photos galore once everything is in its place and the build begins.

What I want to know is about rear mufflers. I am now in the market for one and am leaning towards an Eisenmann muffler but would like to hear from anyone with experience.

I don't want drone and want a nice note that flows well.

Tim.
Yep, the Eisenmann is fantastic! Never had one but have heard them.

On another note, whatever Adin is running on his E30 M3 sounds amazing! Ran into him last week and the car looked & sounded fantastic.

A great post to read, your rebuild has been very well thought out and planned by the sound of it. BTW go with the black calipers I reckon. I can't wait to see the pictures. Cheers.

Good to hear about Adin's car. It is a relatively cheap solutions from what he tells me and you can buy the mufflers here - so no import taxes etc.

I'm awaiting confirmation that the engine has landed at GT Auto Garage.

I'm a bit excited

You are such a bad man!

This build is going from bad to worse. Haha

There is a small tear (about 1cm) on the dash and that has me thinking that I must retrim the entire dash in alcantara with M coloured stitching. Of course if I do that then i also NEED an alcantara headlining. And if I'm going to do that then I MUST have door cards done too.

And now your talking me into an Mtech kit.

Love it.

I'll have a look on ebay
